Gohata Global (Pvt.) Ltd, Ground Floor, Plaza 79, C1 MM Alam Road, Gulberg III, Lahore, Pakistan ("Gohata Global", "we", "us") is the controller of personal data collected through this website and through our counselling services. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you hold over it.

When you complete an enquiry or application form we collect your name, email address, telephone number, city, date of birth or age, academic qualifications and grades, English test type and score, intended field of study, preferred destination and intake, and any additional information you choose to provide.

When you browse the site we automatically collect your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed and time spent, through the analytics tools described in section 5.

Where you proceed to a formal application we additionally collect passport details, academic transcripts and certificates, financial evidence, and previous visa or immigration history, because receiving institutions and immigration authorities require them.

We process your data to assess your profile and advise on suitable institutions; to prepare and submit applications on your behalf to universities, colleges and pathway providers; to prepare visa files for submission to the relevant immigration authority; to communicate with you about your application; and to meet the record-keeping obligations imposed by our ICEF approval and British Council certification.

We rely on your consent for marketing communication, and on the performance of our counselling agreement for everything else.

We share your data with the universities, colleges and pathway providers you apply to; with the immigration authority of your destination country and its visa application centre; with English language test providers where we register you for a test; and with accommodation, insurance or travel providers where you ask us to arrange those services.

Because these organisations are located outside Pakistan, your data will be transferred internationally. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Enquiry records are retained for two years from your last contact with us. Full application and visa files are retained for seven years from the close of the application, which is the period required for accreditation audit and for any subsequent institutional query. You may ask us to delete your record earlier where no legal or contractual obligation requires us to keep it.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic, Meta Pixel to measure the performance of advertising and to build advertising audiences, and Microsoft Clarity to record anonymised page interactions such as scrolling and clicks. These tools set cookies on your device and may record a session replay in which personal data typed into forms is masked.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies does not affect your ability to use the site or to submit an enquiry.

You may ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, ask us to delete your record, withdraw your consent to marketing at any time, or object to a particular use of your data. Write to official@gohataglobal.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Application files are held in access-controlled systems available only to the counsellor assigned to your case and to authorised management. Documents are transmitted to institutions through their own secure portals. No transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data you send us by email or messaging application.

We advise applicants under 18 only with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian, and we collect the guardian's contact details alongside the student's.
